Celebrate Diversity Month! This Year’s Focus: Mental Health

As the advocate for diversity and inclusion and the coordinator of the Diversity Charter network, we invite all companies, organisations – and why not, individuals too – to celebrate Diversity Month and Diversity Day. In 2025, we will place special focus on mental health, but we welcome all ideas and events that recognise and celebrate diversity in any form. Sign up for our ideas seminar to find inspiration and support!

Diversity Month is celebrated in Estonia and across Europe every May, and Diversity Day in Estonia falls on the second Wednesday of May – this year, on 14 May. The goal of the day and month is to acknowledge and appreciate the value and uniqueness of every individual, both in the workplace and in society at large. The celebration is led by the Estonian Human Rights Centre in cooperation with the Diversity Charter network, but all Estonian companies and organisations are welcome to join and organise events.

“Although the European Diversity Month in 2025 focuses on promoting mental health and overall well-being in the workplace, events and activities can cover any topic related to diversity – there’s no need to limit yourself to the annual theme,” encourages Kelly Grossthal, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at the Human Rights Centre.

For all those interested, we will hold an inspiration seminar (in Estonian) on 9 April, where we will present the Human Rights Centre’s plans for celebrating Diversity Month and Day. We will also share ideas on how to celebrate diversity in your organisation. We warmly invite participants to actively engage, contribute their plans, and share past experiences with others.

Since you are here...

It is important to protect everyone’s human rights, because it helps to keep stability and peace in the society. There are many challenges for protection of human rights in Estonia: intolerance has really come out of the closet. Bad things happen when good people are too passive, but together we can make a change.

Estonian Human Rights Centre is the competent, accountable and impactful independent human rights organisation in Estonia. Your recurring or one-time donation helps to stand up for human rights everywhere: in courts, in the media, in schools, in the workplace, on the streets and in governmental venues.

Donating is easy, and you can use your credit card if donating from abroad.
