Do you think you lost your job because of your age? Do you know anyone who has been discriminated against in their dealings with the state or local government? Do you work for a non-governmental organisation that stands for human rights or represents different minorities, and know people who could get help from the center?
Feel free to contact the Estonian Human Rights Centre if you believe that you have experienced inequality due to your nationality, age, gender, skin colour, religion or belief, disability or sexual orientation.
We can provide initial legal advice, but in socially important cases, we are ready to help people with going to court and during subsequent court proceedings. We fully support the person in need throughout the process and clarify the legal aspects of the litigation.
Our services are free. Legal aid is provided by the Centre’s lawyers and experienced attorneys from law firms.
For more information and assistance, feel free to contact Kelly Grossthal, Head of Strategic Litigation at the Human Rights Center, at kelly.grossthal@humanrights.ee.
Since you are here...
It is important to protect everyone’s human rights, because it helps to keep stability and peace in the society. There are many challenges for protection of human rights in Estonia: intolerance has really come out of the closet. Bad things happen when good people are too passive, but together we can make a change.
Estonian Human Rights Centre is the competent, accountable and impactful independent human rights organisation in Estonia. Your recurring or one-time donation helps to stand up for human rights everywhere: in courts, in the media, in schools, in the workplace, on the streets and in governmental venues.
Donating is easy, and you can use your credit card if donating from abroad.
