The project strengthens the implementation of a human rights-based approach in development cooperation by providing specialists working in Estonia with practical knowledge and tools for its systematic application. First, the expertise of the Estonian Human Rights Centre is enhanced, followed by the development of a training program, which will be tested through pilot training session. Finally, a tool will be developed that outlines the key points to be followed when planning, implementing, and funding development cooperation projects to ensure their compliance with human rights principles. Based on the pilot activities and feedback received, the training programme and tool can later be further adapted to the Estonian context and developed into an interactive format. The direct beneficiaries are human rights experts and specialists and organizations involved in development cooperation. The project ensures the systematic and sustainable integration of the human rights-based approach into Estonia’s development cooperation.
